I'm a bit late to this party, but some of you may have heard about the newly revealed "Butt Song From Hell." For those of you who haven't here's the deal:
Heironymous Bosch (not the L.A. detective, the artist), painted a work around 600 years ago called "The Garden of Earthly Delights," which in three panels depicts the origional innocence of the Garden of Eden, the debauchery of human sin, and the eternal punishment of hell (see above). This painting was particularly well known for the many little details Bosch inserted into the scenes, including, in the damnation panel, an image of a demon inscribing a tune on the posterior of one of the damned.
As it turns out, that notation makes for an actually playable tune, but for 600 years, no one botherd to try and transcribe it, until recently. Then, someone came along, and took that tune, and put it into a choral arrangement (which you can listen to here). What's more, they wrote some lyrics (in Latin?). And so, please go listen to the arrangement at the link above, as you contemplate the lyrics to The Butt Song From Hell:
butt song from hell
this is the butt song from hell
we sing from our asses while burning in purgatory
the butt song from hell
the butt song from hell
butts
Butts indeed. Butts indeed.
