I will admit that I was disappointed in Kerry, but I would have been disappointed with any politician who did not try and stop what was going on, or send some of his people to stop it.

In fact, has there been a tasering this high profile before at a political talk/event?

Regardless of which side of the aisle the speaker is on?

It's rather pathetic, in my view, especially since I saw nothing in the videos show that provoked such a reaction.

While tasers are less-than-lethal weapons, they are still lethal and should be used as cautiously as a nightstick, body, or other less-than-lethal options.

Personally I think the campus police overreacted and showed their need for better training and, perhaps, more qualified officers.

In most places campus police are barely a step up from security guards and no where near the same level of training and discipline of city, county, and state police.

Anyhow, it's just a sad moment for free speech and law enforcement, that's for sure.
